From Chengdu to the western regions, this journey reads Xinjiang through rail living, private interpretation, regional dining and slow cultural encounters.

The e-book itinerary reframes the route as a dialogue between Tianfu elegance and western vastness: settle into the train first, then move through Urumqi, Altay, Ili, Kuqa, Pamir, Kashgar and Turpan with lower fatigue and stronger cultural context.

Before You Choose a Route

Altay D3–D5: choose either Route A or B; routes cannot be mixed once selected.
Ili + Kuqa D6–D10: choose one of Routes A / B / C; Route C carries a ¥6,000 surcharge.
The Duku Highway is open to mainland Chinese guests only; Route A is unavailable before it opens.
The Yizhao Highway, lake boat trips and Xiata depend on weather and policy; alternative sights will be arranged when needed.
Departure dates, times, routes and stops are subject to the railway authority’s final confirmation.
